Terms of Service
Last updated July 11, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Tell Me About Yourself (the “Service”), operated by Valle Systems LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms, together with our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and Valle Systems LLC. If these Terms conflict with the Refund Policy, the Refund Policy controls for refund-related matters; if they conflict with the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy controls for privacy-related matters.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Your Account
You need an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@tellmeaboutyourself.app if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. The Service
Tell Me About Yourself is an AI-powered interview practice tool. You can upload a resume, optionally provide a job description, and run live mock interview sessions in which you speak your answers aloud. The Service records the session audio, transcribes it, and uses artificial intelligence to generate written feedback on your responses.
4. Audio Recording
Practice sessions record your microphone audio. Before each session begins, we ask you to consent to recording. By starting a session, you consent to the recording, transcription, storage, and processing of your audio — including processing by the third-party AI providers we use to operate the Service — for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
The Service is designed for you to record yourself. You must not use the Service to record any other person unless you have that person’s consent and any other consent required by law.
Recordings, transcripts, and assessments are stored under your account and used to provide the Service to you. You can permanently delete this data at any time from your account settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle this information. Deleted data may remain in routine encrypted backups for a limited period before it is purged.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you provide — your resume, job descriptions, spoken answers, and recordings (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display Your Content as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, support, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, to enforce these Terms, and to comply with law — including sending it to our AI service providers for transcription and feedback generation. We do not use Your Content to train AI models. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload.
The Service is not intended to be your only storage location for resumes, recordings, transcripts, or feedback. Keep your own copies of anything you want to preserve; we do not guarantee indefinite availability of Your Content.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Upload content that infringes the rights of others or contains malware;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
- Probe, scan, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service or circumvent its rate limits or security features;
- Upload another person’s personal information, or any content you do not have the right to use;
- Record any other person without the consents required by law;
- Use the Service to harass, defame, discriminate against, impersonate, or deceive anyone;
- Attempt to extract our system prompts, bypass safety features, or reverse engineer the Service;
- Use the Service to cheat in live interviews or assessments, or to misrepresent your identity or qualifications to employers;
- Resell, redistribute, or use the Service to build a competing product without our written permission.
7. AI-Generated Feedback
Feedback and assessments produced by the Service are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for practice purposes only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent. We do not guarantee any particular interview outcome, job offer, or result. You are solely responsible for how you use the feedback.
The Service is an interview practice tool only. It does not provide legal, employment, recruiting, human-resources, psychological, or professional career advice, and its output is not a hiring decision, employment assessment, or guarantee of job readiness. Employers, recruiters, and hiring teams may not use the Service or its output to evaluate candidates or make employment decisions without a separate written agreement with us.
8. Fees, Payments, and Refunds
New accounts include a number of free practice sessions. Free sessions are a courtesy: they have no cash value, cannot be refunded or exchanged, and we may change the number granted to new accounts over time. Beyond those, sessions are purchased à la carte — individually or in packs — as one-time payments processed by our payment provider, Stripe. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Purchased sessions are added to your account balance and remain available for 24 months from the date of purchase, after which they expire (unless applicable law requires a longer period). Session balances are tied to your account and are not transferable, and they cannot be redeemed for cash. Prices are shown at checkout before you pay and may not include applicable taxes; taxes, if any, will be shown at checkout and are your responsibility. We may change pricing over time, but you will never be charged without your agreement.
Refunds. Our goal is that you only pay for sessions you actually use. The full policy is set out on our Refund Policy page, which forms part of these Terms. In summary:
- A session is only charged to your balance if it produces an assessment. If you leave before saying enough to be scored — a false start, a connection hiccup, a quick test — the session is automatically returned to your balance at no cost.
- If a session fails because of a technical problem on our side, contact us within 14 days and we will re-credit the session or refund it, at your choice.
- Unused purchased sessions are refundable on request within 14 days of purchase.
- Except for the cases above and where required by applicable law, sessions you have used are not refundable. Each completed session consumes computing resources we pay for at the time you use it, and your free sessions exist so you can try the Service before paying.
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method through Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
Consumers in the EU and UK. When you purchase sessions, you expressly request immediate access to them and acknowledge that once you use a session, you lose your statutory right of withdrawal for that session. Your 14-day right of withdrawal for unused sessions is unaffected — it is the same 14-day refund described above.
Fair use of refunds. Refunds beyond your statutory rights are a good-faith gesture, not an entitlement, and we may decline refund requests that we reasonably believe are abusive (for example, repeatedly purchasing, using, and requesting refunds). If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before disputing it with your card issuer — we resolve genuine billing mistakes quickly. If we reasonably believe a payment dispute is fraudulent or made in bad faith, we may suspend your account while we investigate. If a dispute results in the reversal of a payment, we may remove from your balance the sessions purchased with that payment. Nothing in this paragraph limits your right to dispute charges under applicable law.
If you delete your account, you lose access to your remaining session balance: free sessions are forfeited, and unused purchased sessions remain refundable only as described above (within 14 days of their purchase). If you have an unused, refund-eligible balance, request the refund before deleting your account.
To request a refund, email support@tellmeaboutyourself.app from the address on your account.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service — including its software, design, branding, and content we create — belongs to Valle Systems LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or create risk or legal exposure for us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (such as Sections 5, 7, 12, and 13) will continue to apply.
11. Changes to the Service; Discontinuation
The Service will evolve: we may add, change, or remove features, adjust usage limits, or change the AI providers we rely on. We may also suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give reasonable advance notice where practical and will either give you the opportunity to use your remaining purchased sessions before shutdown or refund the unused portion of your purchased balance.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valle Systems LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $100.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Valle Systems LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.
